Broadband Area Sales Manager
This position is for a Broadband Area Sales Manager to sell wireless broadband solutions to the public safety, governmental and utility marketplaces. The candidate can be located anywhere in the US near a major airport. The role requires calling on existing and competitive accounts, including presenting and demonstrating the solution will meet the client’s needs. Provides appropriate support working with engineering, projects and proposal center and is accountable to close the sale. These activities will be conducted alone and with the assistance of a sales/technical support team. Broadband Sales Manager will be responsible for meeting assigned quota. Typical primary responsibilities include expanding and developing an assigned major markets and providing customer service in the pursuit of major new opportunities.
Job Requirements
15 years sales experience, Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred. Network Communications experience desired. Public Safety experience or sales experience to public safety entities a plus. Leading major pursuit efforts for long sales cycle major capital project experience is beneficial. The candidate must be capable of leading a virtual team of senior professionals. The candidate must be able to develop strategy and execute tactics to win opportunity. Experience working in politics a plus. Experience with Public relations firms and lobbyist a definite plus. Must have supervisory experience and demonstrated track record of major sales achievements. Position requires minimum 40% overnight North American Travel.
