Architectural and Engineering Manager

SUMMARY:

The Architectural and Engineering (“AE”) Manager is responsible for overseeing the workflow and communication between the Site Development Services and the Engineering organizations, relative to AE production. The incumbent’s primary responsibilities include but are not limited to, AE quality assurance, customer relations, new business procurement and workflow optimization.

Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Assist in the procurement of new AE business.
· Develop AE scope of work and process documentation, as needed.
· Develop and maintain reporting metrics to evaluate performance of AE business unit.
· Establish regular reporting to Site Development of progress of AE on customer projects.
· Develop “best practices” and ensure continual process improvement within the AE business unit.
· Implement customer AE specifications, coordinating same between ATC Site Development Services and Engineering Teams.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, and contracting parties.
· Coordinate AE workload across multiple markets, ensuring customer objectives are met.
· Provide training on best practices and procees improvement to AE business unit.
· Lead implementation of new AE projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Excellent organizational skills.
· Detail oriented, able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office programs.
· Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.
· Ability to direct multiple personnel.
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
· Substantive and working knowledge of telecommunications industry including: RF, construction, zoning, leasing, site acquisition
· Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
· Must provide own transportation and travel unassisted.
· Must be able to walk over undeveloped land unassisted as well as sit behind a computer for long periods of time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· College degree required
· Minimum 5 years managing site development projects in the wireless telecommunications industry required.

ENVIRONMENT:

Approximately 30% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 70% performed in the field. At times, travel to offices throughout the country will be required, during business hours, in support of the position’s responsibilities.
